The neighborhood known as Jeremy Ranch is actually made up of three very distinct areas, including Summit Park, Pinebrook, and Jeremy Ranch itself.
Travelers driving from Salt Lake City to Park City will know the community of Jeremy Ranch as the first they encounter along the way.
Jeremy Ranch Real Estate
Within Jeremy Ranch itself, you’ll find more upscale townhomes, condos and private family estates.
Summit Ranch tends to offer more affordable entry points as the area is less developed and more secluded. These mainly consist of single family homes nestled along the mountainside.
Somewhere between the two is Pinebrook, where townhomes, condos, and private family estates also populate the local real estate market.
The Locals
While the community of Jeremy Ranch is primarily made up of full-time residents, many daily commuters enjoy living here due to the close proximity to both Salt Lake City and downtown Park City. Because all three individual areas differ so largely, there’s a very diverse group of residents in the community. What they all seem to share in common is a deep love for the mountain lifestyle the community affords them.
Our Local Tip:
Explore one of the most scenic trails in the Jeremy Ranch area, Park City’s famous Mid Mountain Trail. The trail starts in Pinebrook and runs 25 miles through the Canyons, across Park City and over to Deer Valley’s Silver Lake Village.
Parks & Nature
As we noted above, one of the biggest draws of the Jeremy Ranch community is the neighborhood’s direct access to the surrounding mountains.
Local residents place a large emphasis on enjoying life outdoors, which is why you’ll find a well-rounded collection of natural amenities here. None more frequently used than the complex system of local mountain trails, which you can directly access from multiple access points across Jeremy Ranch.
If you’re more of a thrill-seeker, you might prefer Woodward Park City, a year-round action sports destination. Woodward Park City offers both indoor and outdoor extreme sports amenities, including one indoor skatepark, two outdoor skateparks, BMX bike jumps, lift-serviced mountain biking trails, and ski, snowboard, and snow tubing rubs, among many other features.
Arts & Culture
While Jeremy Ranch’s Arts scene might not be as well-developed as some of Utah’s other communities, there certainly is a lot to be said about the local culture here, primarily the food culture. One of the most popular food destinations is the O’Shucks location in Pinebrook, where locals enjoy listening to live outdoor music on Tuesdays and Fridays. In fact, a lot of Park City’s culture as a whole is driven by the city’s food scene, especially when there’s live music around. While Jeremy Ranch is primarily a residential part of Park City, the O’Shucks location in Pinebrook certainly does its part to retain the city’s culture surrounding great food and live music.
There’s also a big golf culture within the community too. Courses such as the Jeremy Ranch Golf Course, which is Utah’s only Arnold Palmer signature course, are always popular in the warmer months. Since its opening in 1981, golfers from across the country (and the globe, for that matter) have enjoyed spending countless hours out on the perfectly manicured green set in the picturesque upper east canyon of the Wasatch Mountains.
Schools
Parents to school-aged children will be glad to know that Jeremy Ranch offers a selection of both public and private schools in the local area across all age groups.
In terms of the local public schools, the top picks include Jeremy Ranch Elementary School in Summit Park, Ecker Hill Middle School in Summit Park, and the Weilenmann School of Discovery, which is a public charter school that welcomes students from Kindergarten through to Grade Eight.
The most popular local private school in the Jeremy Ranch area is Park City Day School, which serves students from Preschool through to Grade Eight as well.
Shopping
Seeing as the Jeremy Ranch community is largely made up of residential areas, the neighborhood as a whole doesn’t have an extensive selection of shops and stores. However, the most popular local shopping destination is Outlets Park City, which is located at 6699 N Landmark Drive just east of Pinebrook. Here, you’ll find a selection of over 50 fashion and lifestyle stores.
For groceries and other daily essentials, the shopping center at Quarry Village located at the base of Pinebrook serves much of the Jeremy Ranch community. Additionally, residents are also very close to the hub of Kimball Junction, which is the area’s primary shopping center for any other needs.
Dining
Away from the previously mentioned Jeremy Ranch favorite, O’Shucks bar and restaurant, Billy Blanco’s Mexican-inspired cantina is also one of the neighborhood’s go-to spots. Here, you can choose from a wide variety of Tacos and Burritos alongside other classic Mexican dishes like Nachos, Guacamole, wraps, and Quesadillas (among other menu items).
In addition to those two casual family-friendly restaurants, the Jeremy Ranch Country Club is also a popular spot among locals to grab a bite to eat. Whether you’re dining inside in the clubhouse or outside at the club courtyard, the ambience provided by the surrounding Canyons offers the perfect setting for a great meal.
Getting Around
Whether you’re in Jeremy Ranch or pretty much anywhere else in Park City, you’ll have fantastic direct access to the expansive matrix of mountain and hillside trails, which form a complex system that spans across the entire city. In the warmer months, this trail system genuinely does act as a popular transportation system, with locals relying on bikes and e-bikes to get around.
In the winter, however, when snowfall prohibits the use of the trail systems, the best way to get around is definitely via a car with 4-wheel drive.
